The sheriff mobile app is a distinctive Calhoun County source. The Apple App Store listing describes the Calhoun Co Sheriff's Office app as an interactive communication tool for residents, businesses, and visitors. The Google Play listing identifies the app as an OCV LLC product for communication, alerts, information, and public engagement.
The sheriff's Facebook post says to check the app for mugshots of current inmates and news releases. Use that source carefully. If a person has already been released and is no longer in current custody, the app may not keep the photo available. The official records-request path is stronger when a specific released person's booking photo is needed.

The screenshot supports the app channel, but the app should still be framed as current-inmate and agency-news access unless an official released-photo feature is confirmed.
Request a Calhoun Booking Photo
For a released person, an official request is usually cleaner than a broad web search. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is the likely custodian for jail booking photos tied to county bookings. A court exhibit or court-file image may instead be with the Circuit Clerk, subject to court access rules. A useful request should be narrow, identify the booking, and ask for the booking photo only if it is releasable under Alabama law and agency procedure.
- Confirm the person was booked into Calhoun County Jail or housed there on a municipal matter.
